Alfred "Weird Al" Matthew Yankovic (born October 23, 1959, in Downey, California) is an American entertainer best known for his satirical representation of popular culture and parody works. His voice work was featured in the Gravity Falls episode "Dungeons, Dungeons, and More Dungeons," as Probabilitor the Annoying.
Yankovic was born in Downy, California, to Nicholas Yankovic and Mary Vivalda on October 23, 1959, and was raised an only child in Lynwood, California. He received his first accordion lesson on his sixth birthday, which sparked his interest in music. He continued to take lessons for three years before pursuing the instrument on his own. Influence from numerous entertainers contributed to his love of comedy.
Yankovic entered kindergarten a year ahead of his peers, and he subsequently skipped second grade, leaving him two years younger than his classmates. As a result of this perceived intelligence, the boy was quickly labeled a "nerd." He lacked interest in most social endeavors, and he graduated at the top of his high school class. He attended California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, California, where he earned a degree in architecture.
Yankovic identifies as a vegan and abstains from numerous substances on religious grounds. In 2001, he married Suzanne Krajewski.
Yankovic was first featured on Dr. Demento's radio show in 1976, with his song "Belvedere Cruisin." Over the years, he has recorded over 150 parody songs, sold over 12 million albums, and performed over 1,000 live shows.
