This page is for a robot invented by Old Man McGucket. For the lake monster that lives in Lake Gravity Falls, see Gobblewonker.

The Gobblewonker robot is giant robot created by Old Man McGucket in order to get attention.

History[]

In "The Legend of the Gobblewonker", Dipper and Mabel Pines search for the Gobblewonker in order to take a picture of it and win a photo contest they had read about earlier that day. Upon finding the robot, which they believe to be the real Gobblewonker, Dipper takes a few photos before the robot chases him, Mabel and Soos back to Soos' boat. The robot then chases them through Lake Gravity Falls and follows them into a cave, in which it gets stuck. A rock falls on the robot's head, causing it to emit mechanical noises as it ceases to function. Dipper, Mabel and Soos then discover that the Gobblewonker that they had been chasing is a robot and that it is piloted by Old Man McGucket. McGucket explains that he had built the robot to get attention from the townsfolk of Gravity Falls, explaining that his own son never wants to spend quality time with him. McGucket then goes back to working on a death ray, and Dipper laments that the photos he had taken are useless.

In "Headhunters," a small prototype of the Gobblewonker's head can be seen as scrap metal behind Old Man McGucket in the Gravity Falls Junkyard.

In "Bottomless Pit!", during Dipper's "Voice Over" story, Dipper encounters Old Man McGucket in the junkyard and tells him that he remembers the robot almost killing him.

In "Weirdmageddon 3: Take Back The Falls," the head and neck of the robot are incorporated into the Shacktron and are able to catch and eat Eye-Bats.

Appearance[]

The Gobblewonker robot looks very much like the real Gobblewonker, resembling a green Plesiosaurus. Its eyes are dark green (yellow when glowing) and its lower jaw overlaps its upper jaw. It has two tusks along with other sharp teeth, and its head has two fish hooks stuck in it: one on its nostril, and one just above its eye. It has short legs with webbed feet, and it has a fin on its tail. It has a long mane that runs all the way down its back.

Its design might be inspired by the dragon form of Maleficent from Disney's Sleeping Beauty franchise, as they both have a similar head, a long neck (with appendages along it), and long, corseque-like tail.
