Gravity Falls is an animated comedy on Disney Channel. Twins Dipper and Mabel Pines are in for an unexpected adventure when they spend the summer with their great uncle in the mysterious town of Gravity Falls, Oregon. Upon their arrival, Dipper and Mabel's huckster great uncle, Grunkle Stan, enlists the siblings' help in running the Mystery Shack, a tourist trap he owns that overcharges unsuspecting customers.

Although Dipper and Mabel quickly discover the Mystery Shack itself is a hoax, they sense there is something strange about their new town and together they begin to unlock the secrets of Gravity Falls.

Similar Series: Gravity Falls is unique among children's shows, however it shares similarities with shows geared toward other age groups. The series is often compared to Twin Peaks because of its location in the Pacific Northwest and its plotlines involving mystery solving, the supernatural, bizarre phenomena, and complex character development. Similarly, the series shares commonalities with the short-lived series Eerie, Indiana which revolves around a pair of boys' encounters with odd occurrences and urban legends that border on campy.
Availability: Gravity Falls is currently available on iTunes and reruns of season 1 air on Disney Channel and Disney XD. Six episodes were released on DVD under the title Gravity Falls: Six Strange Tales on October 15, 2013. Disney has released numerous games based on the show as apps and internet-based games. You can find all seasons on Disney+.
