Before Dipper and Mabel Pines' arrival in Gravity Falls, the man gained entry into the ranks of the Blind Eye Society, both out of a desire to keep the town's supernatural secrets hidden and to allay "society's views" on his strange fondness of woodpeckers.
The man is seen at his wedding ceremony to a woodpecker in "Irrational Treasure," where he assures the Pines family that the marriage is indeed still legal. The newlyweds later argue about migrating south for the winter, and storms out of their ironically entirely-wooden house after his wife pecks at the table.
In "Society of the Blind Eye," the woodpecker's husband reveals himself as a member of the illicit Blind Eye Society to Dipper and the gang, as they feel it is of no danger considering they are all about to be wiped of their summer memories. When Soos questions him on the status of his marriage with the woodpecker, he claims it is running smoothly in front of his wife, however he quickly whispers that it is indeed very troubled. After taking part in the skirmish to recover Old Man McGucket's stolen memories, his knowledge of the organization is erased completely through the Memory erasing gun, he stumbles home from the museum, disoriented by the experience.
In "The Stanchurian Candidate," he is at the town meeting to discuss the new mayor, and among the voters throwing bird seed during the Friday debate.
In "Weirdmageddon 2: Escape From Reality" and "Weirdmageddon 3: Take Back The Falls", the woodpecker's husband is revealed to have avoided capture or madness and has joined Stan's Resistance Group, who reside in the Mystery Shack. The woodpecker, however, has been turned to stone, along with part of her husband's shoulder.
The woodpecker's husband is often percieved as creepy, mainly due to his eccentric marriage interests. His mental state is called is ultimately questionable, as he is shown interpreting chirps and peckings his "wife" makes as contributions to their argument.
The woodpecker guy is a middle-aged man, as evidenced by his gray hair and mustache. He has tan skin, and a bit of stubbles on his chin. For his wedding day, he wears a dark green suit with a blue bow tie, completing the outfit with a pair of black dress shoes.
